Unleashing the potential of the internet of simulations
Leverage our OPEN and INTEROPERABLE PLATFORM to build DATA AND NETWORK CENTRIC Simulators
SIMWARE PLATFORM
Simware leverages the power of Platforms and the Network to expand the application of real time, networked and physic-based simulation to any kind of market and application.
Simware combines in an integrated platform deterministic data delivery, network data sharing and support for the main standards and protocols in the market for simulation and critical systems. Simware helps system integrators, OEMs, component providers and service providers to deliver open, modular and connected simulators for many vertical markets, including Defense & Security, Aerospace, Health Care, Transportation, Unmanned systems, Serious Games , etc. |
Embracing the Internet of Simulations with Simware
- Do you think is possible to connect a driver-less car into a virtual city to experiment without any physical risk?
- Do you think is it possible to train robotic surgery operations connecting nursing and surgering teams dispersed geographically?
- Do you think is it possible to keep the proficiency of a pilot using training applications located in the Cloud?
- Do you think we could reduce defense and security budgets and improve the operational readiness of the forces by substituting live training by virtual training using low-cost simulations distributed in the Network?
All cases are possible by embracing the Internet of Simulations or IoS. IoS will expand the simulation to the cloud, allowing full connectivity of devices in the network without any restrictions. But, in order to enable the Internet of Simulations in the market, we need an evolution in the way the simulators are built. Till now, simulators are mainly developed using propietary architectures and as stovepipe systems that are not able to interact effectively with other systems in the network. These are systems designed mainly as stand-alone systems in which the network connectivity is a secondary requirement. But nowadays, lead users are demanding simulators that can take full advantage of the Network and are fully interoperable. As an example, below you can read what lead users in the US DoD are requesting for their training systems.
The days of closed, proprietary architectures are over; complex integration for individual products is over. The F-35, like many legacy systems, is trying to undo some of the systems architectures from the past […] We are trying to create a more seamless, connected training environment. [..] Pentagon simply could not afford to develop stovepiped, closed training and simulation systems that cost a small fortune later on down the road to re-engineer for cross-platform interoperability

Our first priority is sustaining and making incremental improvements to our current portfolio of training systems. The second priority is enhancing the interoperability to connect geographically separate training facilities and systems into the larger live, virtual and constructive scenarios so that you can take individual and small unit training and expand that into the context of large unit team training

Why Simware is designed for the Internet of Simulations?
Because of our pure
|
Because we only work with StandardsOnly the use of industrial standards and open APIs will allow you to leverage external applications' features to increase the capabilities of your system
|
Because we are the only leveraging the NetworkTo take advantage of features and capabilities available in the network you need to design your simulation system like another component of the network instead of a stovepipe system

WHERE IS SIMWARE USEFUL?
|
Simulation solutions are demanded in many different markets. Real time simulation is useful in almost any industry. Most people first think of "flight simulators" or "driving simulators" when they hear first time about "simulation." But simulation is much more.
Simulations hold great potential for training people for almost any situation because they are able to recreate in virtual worlds any situation and escenario, even in the more hazardous conditions. When we introduce physics-based models of real world systems in this virtual world, we can imitate the operation of this real system over time and over any kind of conditions and situations. This is the reason why simulation is mandatory to train military services or is starting to be demanded to train surgeons and nurseries in complex surgeries operations. Simulations are also very useful to design and experiment new systems and concepts. Simulations allow to try in a synthetic world systems and procedures when they are only designs or even ideas, saving time and money. Use of simulation for Concept, design and experimentation activities is already a reality in markets as Defense, aerospace or transportation to do virtual prototyping of new systems and test them in virtual worlds and its use will be expanded in the future. |
WHAT TO BUILD WITH SIMWARE?
Network-Centric architecture and real time features in Simware allows to use it to develop any kind of simulation and training system, from the simple part-task trainers and desktop/web trainers to the more complex federation of simulations for training or experimentation.
